The days in Platykampos - Larissa

The school community (Headmaster, Teachers, Parents and Students) with the Mayor of Platykampos welcomed all the delegations at school. 

The Greek team created a fun learning game in minutes – called ‘kahoots’ – where they made a series of multiple choice questionsabout refugees and migrants. All students answered the questions on their own devices (mobile). 

Workshop - The Greek and the Turkish students will hold a workshop about their countries’ rules and the positions of their national political parties on migrants.

Lunch at school – Teachers of the school prepared home-made food for the host teachers to taste the original Greek food.

A photography exhibition on human rights was hosted at the French Institute of Larissa. The report aims to promote solidarity, democracy, tolerance and human rights.

The exhibition had photographs of the children hosted in the refugee center near Larissa. This exhibition visited our students and participated in workshops on human rights.

08:00 – 08:50: Workshop - The Greek and the Polish students will hold a workshop about the history of Immigration in their countries.

Visit of Association for the Social Support of Youth “Arsis” in Makrinitsa - Volos. (Young accompanied refugees) 

The students talked, played, danced with refugees and realized that all the children all over the world are similar.

08:00 – 09:00: Workshop – International teams for creative activities.

09:00 – 10:00: Workshop - Presentation of the board game "Immigranopoly"

10:30 – 11:30: Visit of the Museum of Larissa.

12:00 – 13:00: Meeting at Region of  Thessalia.

The delegations were accepted by the local authorities of Thessaly and Larissa in the Regional Council Hall. There, all of them informed the students and the teachers on the handling of the refugee issue.

13:15 – 14:30: Guided tour of the town of Larissa.

08:00 – 08:45: Workshop - The Greek and the Norwegian students will hold a workshop about how to deal with racism and xenophobia in their countries.

Visit of Monasteries St. Stephane and Grate Meteor.

 

Friday, 17/11/2017

School ceremony – Presentation of the results of creative activities.

Evaluation of the meeting. - The Europass Curriculum Vitae of the students involved in the meeting will be created. The language Passport of the students involved in the meeting will be created.

Good bye ceremony from the parents - Lunch.

Saturday, 18/11/2017

Visit of Thessaloniki. The delegations spent a couple of hours in Thessaloniki on the last night before heading home
